The Recall Check Mobile App from Recall Masters allows consumers and organizations to instantly identify the recall status of one or more vehicles by scanning a vehicle identification number (VIN) barcode or through manual VIN entry. The app then displays comprehensive information on any found recalls that are unperformed in a friendly format to end-users, including the nature and risk type associated with the recall, the repair time and level of difficulty, and most importantly known parts availability for completing the recall repair. End-users can also sign up for an ongoing monitoring service for one or more vehicles to receive notifications via email or text in the event that a new recall is issued.
The mobile app’s primary commercial uses include determining recall status: as a vehicle enters the service lane, during the vehicle trade-in appraisal process, while reviewing auction manifests for potential acquisition, and of a dealer’s new and used on-the-lot inventory. The application is licensed at no cost to consumers and for trial use to businesses for up to six vehicles per month; an ongoing subscription is required for commercial use or to perform a recall check on more than six vehicles per month.
